Roy Goddard

Mr. Goddard is currently a Director, President and an Advising Representative of Carecana™ Management Corp. Mr. Goddard has been active in the real estate lending, development and mortgage services industry since 1998, in a variety of roles including President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and a member of the Carecana’s credit committee. Between August 29, 2012 and July 30, 2015 Mr. Goddard was the Chief Compliance Officer of Carecana. Between September 23, 2003 and May 1, 2015 Mr. Goddard was the Chief Financial Officer of CareVest® Capital Inc. Prior thereto, Mr. Goddard was the Chief Financial Officer and Controller of a real estate development and mortgage services company. In 1993, Mr. Goddard obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant – Chartered Accountant designation and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

J. Mike Helfer

Mr. Helfer is currently a Director, Vice President and an Advising Representative of the Carecana Management Corp. Mr. Helfer has been active in real estate lending, particularly commercial mortgages since 1997, in a variety of roles including Broker, Lender, and member of the Carecana’s credit committee. Between May 1, 2007 and April 1, 2016 he held various positions with CareVest Capital Inc., finally in the role of Vice President and Broker. From November 6, 2012 to May 1, 2015, Mr. Helfer was President of Carecana. Prior to joining CareVest Capital Inc. in 2007, Mr. Helfer held several positions in real estate finance, including, Business Development Manager, Commercial Mortgage Division for a major Canadian chartered bank and Associate Manager, Alberta Mortgage investments for a large life insurance company. Mr. Helfer holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a concentration in Finance and was licensed in Alberta as a mortgage associate from February 2008 to August 2016.
